Jewellery
The counter Addictions is best known for. Earrings, necklaces, bangles and rings across a wide spread of prices, so a small thank you and a proper birthday present both work.
Jewellery, homewares, candles, handbags and clothing, hand-picked by Kylie and brought in from Melbourne. Come in, have a proper look, and we will find something for whoever you are buying for.
Stock changes constantly, so what follows is the shape of the shop rather than a catalogue. If you are after something specific, ring us and we will tell you whether it is on the floor today.

Bags brought in from across the Tasman rather than off a New Zealand wholesaler's list, which is why you will not see them on every second shoulder in the Waikato.
Candles, diffusers and holders. The reliable answer when you have been invited to dinner and cannot turn up empty handed.
Vases, planters, serving pieces and the sort of thing that finishes a shelf. Good for housewarmings, weddings and anyone who says they do not need anything.
Canvases, prints, cushions and throws. The pieces people come back for once they have decided to redo a room rather than just buy a present.
The displays turn over with the calendar. Come December the Santas take the front shelves, and the rest of the year has its own moments too.

Kylie started behind the gift counter at the pharmacy on Whitaker Street. When that section outgrew the shop, a gift store went in across the road with her running it, and in 2010 she took it over outright. Addictions has been on the same street ever since.
The buying is still hers. Ranges come in from Melbourne rather than off a standard wholesale list, which is why a present from here tends not to turn up under somebody else's tree the same year. There is a second Addictions at 92 Normanby Road in Paeroa.
Roles are shown here rather than a full staff list. Send us your team names and photos and they go straight in.
Kylie has run Addictions on Whitaker Street since 2010, chooses every range herself, and still fronts the Te Aroha shop most days.
The people who will work out who the present is for, point you at three things in your budget, and remember what you bought last time.
The second Addictions at 92 Normanby Road, with its own team and its own stock, so it is worth a look even if you have just been in here.

Went in for a card and came out with a birthday present, a candle and a scarf. Kylie found exactly what I was after in about two minutes.
I buy all my presents here now. The jewellery is lovely and you never see the same thing anywhere else. Well worth the drive over.
Hopeless at buying presents, so I tell them the budget and who it is for and they sort it. Has not let me down yet.
Popped in off the rail trail and spent far too long in there. Beautiful shop, and you cannot miss that striped front.
A quick line on Google helps the next person in Te Aroha find the shop. It takes about thirty seconds and it means a lot to a small main street business.
Halfway along the main street, under the black and white awning. If you are coming off the Hauraki Rail Trail, leave yourself a bit longer than you think you need.
No forms to fill in. Ring the shop and someone will pick up, or send Kylie an email and she will come back to you.
